Real Want Cash plus Chicharito for Ronaldo's United Return
Real Madrid will demand Mexican striker
Javier Hernandez in any cash-plus-player deal for former United ace Cristiano
Ronaldo.
Manchester
United had hoped to tempt the Los Blancos with an offer of £65million plus
Nani.
But The Whites want Chicharito and are set to bid £25m even if a deal for CR07
falls through.
French
powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain have already bid £80m for Ronaldo — the fee
United sold him for in 2009.
And EPL
champs United are one of the few clubs that could afford the 28-year-old superstar.
Yesterday
they reported record income of more than £92m for the first three months of
2013.
And
while vice-chairman Ed Woodward claims there will be no overhaul of the squad,
United
are encouraged by Ronaldo’s liking for a return to the Theatre of Dreams if he
does leave Real Madrid.
Hernandez
could seal the deal but the Red Devils boss Alex Ferguson wants to hold on to
the Mexican.
Fergie
knows his striker’s disappointment after only seven league starts this campaign.
But he
said: “There is no reason to think this is not the place for him.
“We
hope he feels he has made a contribution.
“He
has scored 16 goals and his enthusiasm to play is always there.”
United
is also linked with swoops for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski and Atletico
Madrid’s Radamel Falcao.
