Llorente Full of Praise for his Future Club Juve

JUVE BOUND LLORENTE
Spanish striker Fernando Llorente has hailed the triumph of his future club Juventus in securing a second consecutive Serie A title.

The 28-year-old will join bianconeri when his contract at current club Athletic Bilbao ends this summer and he said "They are one of the best teams in Europe,"

"They have shown for two consecutive seasons that they are the best team in Italy."

The current La liga campaign has been more or less a write off for Llorente, who has netted just three goals this season for Athletic, completed the 90 minutes on just three occasions, and been whistled by home fans inside Bilbao's San Mames. He said he had not yet had a chance to see a Juventus game live, but was looking forward to his future with Antonio Conte's side in Italy.

"I have still not had time to go and see them," he said. "I will when the season ends. I am very happy. For me what is going to happen in the future is important. But at the moment I must think about Athletic."

Bilbao are yet to secure their top-flight status for next season, as they sit 14th in La Liga, six points above the relegation zone with four games of the season remaining.

The Spain international centre-forward was also asked if he thought he might be joined in Turin by current Real Madrid and Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain, but declined to respond.

Llorente made his debut for Athletic in 2005 and has scored 83 goals in 258 appearances. He has played 21 games for his national side Spain since his debut in 2008 and has netted 7 goals.
